Oregano is native to the Mediterranean and has a strong peppery and lemon herbal flavour. It is widely used throughout the cuisines of Greece (Souvlaki) and Italy (pasta sauces, pizza etc). Oregano is widely used to flavour oils, vinegars and homemade dressings.
